Bargaining Unit Seniority Sample Clauses

The Bargaining Unit Seniority clause establishes the rules for determining the relative length of service of employees within a specific bargaining unit. Typically, this clause outlines how seniority is calculated—such as from the date of hire or entry into the bargaining unit—and details how it affects decisions like promotions, layoffs, or shift assignments. By clearly defining seniority, the clause ensures fair and transparent treatment of employees, helping to prevent disputes and favoritism in employment decisions.
