Benefits Allowance. The District shall provide an HMO plan option for at least the first three years of this Agreement. The District shall provide teachers with a benefits allowance as a part of their total compensation package, consistent with the conditions in 26-1-1. The purpose of the benefits allowance is to provide teachers with a portion of total compensation that can be used to purchase benefits choices selected by the Benefits Board and contracted for by the Board of Education.
