BUILDING COUNCIL Sample Clauses

The Building Council clause establishes a governing body responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and operation of a building or development. Typically, this council is composed of representatives such as property owners, tenants, or appointed managers who make decisions regarding common areas, shared expenses, and building policies. By centralizing authority and decision-making, the clause ensures coordinated management and resolves disputes, thereby promoting efficient and consistent administration of the property.
BUILDING COUNCIL. 1. There may be in every building an organization of the building staff known as the building council. 2. The primary function of the building council shall be an effort by the total staff to promote an efficient, orderly, harmonious building. The building council shall be the communication vehicle between the staff and the building administrator on non-contractual issues. This council shall consider matters of concern within the building and make appropriate recommendations to the building administrative staff. To effectuate this goal, the building council chairperson shall have the opportunity, on a regularly scheduled basis, to confer with the building administrator. 3. Employees assigned to work in the building are eligible for membership. 4. The chairperson of the building council is to be elected from employees of that building. 5. The building council may conduct activities and be responsible for functions under the following guidelines: a. In the event that an individual or group has a concern not covered by this Agreement, an attempt must first be made at resolution with the building council chairperson and/or the building administrator. The Association representative and/or Board representative may be requested by either party to be in attendance at such meetings. b. The building administrator must be apprised of all items to be discussed at any building council meeting. An opportunity to resolve all items to mutual satisfaction prior to the building council meeting must also be provided the building administrator. c. If the concern has progressed through the aforementioned guidelines without satisfactory resolution, the building council chairperson may request a total building council meeting and the building administrator shall effectuate the building council meeting to be chaired by the building council chairperson. Decisions regarding the selection of a final recommendation from amongst possible solutions may be resolved through secret ballot process using the plurality voting system. d. The building council shall also serve as the communication vehicle to the Instructional Council or to any administrator, provided the possible resolution of the concern is under the authority of such administrator. The building administrator shall be informed prior to any such action.
BUILDING COUNCIL. A council of teachers and administrators may be assembled to discuss any relevant matter deemed to be worthy of concern by either the teaching staff or the administration. Teacher members of said council shall be appointed by the Association President to represent both academic and career-technical areas and shall not exceed four (4) persons. Administration members shall be appointed by the Superintendent and shall also be limited to four (4) persons. Meetings may be held at the request of either party.
BUILDING COUNCIL. A Building Council, representative of the staff, shall exist in each building and shall meet at least monthly with the principal to discuss and provide input into building issues. An Association Building Representative shall be a member.
BUILDING COUNCIL. 302.01 The intent of this provision is to keep open the communication lines between each building principal and his/her staff. The purpose of the Building Council is to provide a forum through which the professional staff in each building may discuss building concerns and exchange suggestions for building improvement. These concerns for discussion may include, but not be limited to the following areas: student attendance, student conduct/discipline, and student welfare issues. The staff in each building shall determine at the beginning of each school year the process that will be used for creating building council and setting meeting dates. The teacher members of the Building Council shall be selected by the BEA members at the building. The staff in each building shall determine the number of members to serve on the Building Council with a minimum of three teachers and the building principal. The Building Council shall establish the dates on which the meetings will be held and may, by consensus, change the process at any time during the school year. A copy of each building's schedule of monthly meetings for the school year shall be posted on the bulletin board in the main office in each building by October 1 each school year.

  • Buildings The Employer will provide and maintain all state-owned buildings, facilities, and equipment in accordance with the specific written order(s) of the Michigan (MIOSHA) Departments of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and/or Health and Human Services. Where facilities are leased by the Employer, the Employer shall make a reasonable attempt to assure that such facilities comply with the order(s) of the Michigan Departments of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and/or Health and Human Services.
