The Building Facilities clause defines the obligations and standards regarding the provision, maintenance, and use of physical spaces and amenities within a building. Building Facilities. The Board shall make available in each school, adequate lunchroom, restroom and lavatory facilities for teachers' use and at least one (1) room appropriately furnished which shall be primarily reserved for use as a faculty workroom and/or lounge. A vending machine for beverages may be installed by the Association with the approval of the administration.
Building Facilities. 1. The Board will continue to make available lunchroom and lavatory facilities for teacher use. At least one (1) room will be made available for use as a teacher lounge.
2. Employees shall properly care for all school property and equipment entrusted to them.
3. An effort will be made to fulfill the need for each teacher to have a facility which can be locked for the private storage of coats, hats, purses, and other personal belongings.
4. The Board shall provide telephone service in each building in an environment conducive to confidentiality for employee use.
Building Facilities. PEF agrees to continue to provide facilities which meet the requirements of New York State laws, rules and regulations relating to the health and safety standards for employees by employers in New York State.

The Association and its members shall have the right to use the school building facilities at all reasonable hours, when not conflicting with the duties of the employees, for business meetings upon previous arrangements with the building principal. The Association and its members may use the Board of Education building facilities at reasonable times and hours for meetings when such buildings are available and operating staff are on duty. The request for building use must be made to the building administrator. The Association and its members may make reasonable use of Board of Education equipment and supplies at times and under procedures approved by the building principals or Superintendent of Schools. The Association agrees to reimburse the Board for damage to equipment entrusted to its use and for any materials used for its purposes. The Association may post Association notices on any bulletin board ordinarily designated for Association use.

Building Facilities. It is understood and agreed that Licensor will provide satisfactory and adequate heating, lighting, air conditioning, water, sewer, and electrical facilities within the Premises. Licensor agrees to maintain such facilities in reasonably good working order, repair and operation during the term of this Agreement.

Special equipment shall be provided to minimize hazards in shops, laboratories, and other places where required. Parking lots and access areas to the school building shall be clean and safe.
2. Each department shall have a departmental office of adequate size and condition to meet the needs of the teachers in that department, space permitting.
3. The school shall be provided with reasonably clean, attractive and comfortable teachers' lounges that are not considered as teachers' work rooms, but as lounges. Washrooms shall be properly supplied at all times.
4. Safe and adequate parking will be available for all teachers.
