Compensatory Time Bank. Employees, at their option, may accumulate up to four hundred and eighty (480) hours of compensatory time. Time will accumulate at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) hours for each hour worked. Upon separation from service for any reason, members shall be paid at their current rate of pay (per Article 17 Section 17.1) for all accumulated hours of time. When a member dies while in paid status in the City Service, any unused compensatory time to the member's credit shall be paid in a lump sum to the surviving spouse or the estate of the deceased. On July 1st of each year, employees may transfer up to forty (40) hours of compensatory time to either the vacation or holiday time bank.
