Common use of Contract Ratification Clause in Contracts

Contract Ratification. Section 1. In order for a contract to be considered ratified, the following procedure must be followed: a) When the negotiating committee feels that a proposed contract is acceptable, they will present it to the Executive Council of the Federation who may either approve the proposed contract by a simple majority of those present and voting, or reject it. b) The contract will be submitted to the members of the Federation. The membership of the Federation may approve or reject the proposed contract by a secret ballot vote of the majority of those present and voting.
