Contractual Year. The College shall hire by May 1, 2023, with a Fall 2023 Semester reporting date, a sufficient number of faculty to bring the minimum number of full-time faculty to 190 for the remainder of the contractual year.

Contractual Year. The contract shall be for 178.5 days (1428 hours) for returning teachers and 180.5 days (1450 hours) for teachers new to the district. The number of classroom teaching days shall meet or exceed the requirements set according to state law. The remaining days shall provide for such orientation, staff development, curriculum development or other such work days as may be needed. Absence from a work day due to sickness, personal leave or professional days shall be treated as such. Absence for any other reason shall result in loss of pay equal to 1/178.5 of the contracted teaching salary. Teachers shall be provided one flex workday without students at semester break. On these workdays the administration may not schedule any meetings, IEP’s or in-services. Back to School Night will be considered a ½ day (PM) in correlation with the first day of school being a ½ day (AM). All teachers may leave ½ hour after students on ½ days.

Contractual Year. A twelve-month (12) period beginning on July 1 of one year and ending on June 30 of the following year.

Contractual Year. The College shall hire a sufficient number of faculty for the Fall Semester to bring the minimum number of full-time faculty to 176 for the remainder of the contractual year. The parties may agree to hire such faculty effective with the Winter Semester (May 1 Hire Date, Report Date Fall).

Contractual Year. The College shall hire by May 1, 2024, with a Fall 2024 Semester reporting date, a sufficient number of faculty to maintain the minimum number of full- time faculty at 190. Effective with the Fall 2024 Semester and thereafter, the minimum staffing level of full- time faculty each contractual year shall be the greater of 190 or the number determined by the indexing calculations in the following paragraph, but no less than 190. D. When a teacher speaks or writes as a citizen, the teacher shall be free from administrative and institutional censorship and discipline. However, the responsibility for clarifying the communicator's position resides with the teacher, and a statement to the effect that the teacher speaks as an individual, a citizen, and not on behalf of the institution, should be included in this communication. E. A written recommendation resulting from any Department action which is forwarded to an appropriate administrator, through established channels at the College, is deserving of a written response. Such response should, in the normal course of events, be provided within ten (10) working days and should indicate the administrator's action (e.g., approval or disapproval, support or lack of support, acceptance or rejection, return to sender for any purpose, statement of need for further study or other appropriate action), including the reasons for such action.

Contractual Year. The contractual year for these employees is July 1 - June 30. Contractual Year. A period of three hundred and sixty-five days or three hundred and sixty-six calendar days —in case of a leap year— from the Effective Date. One.

Contractual Year. The compensation levels reflect a one hundred ninety (190) day contractual year for each employee unless otherwise modified as per 9.4.

Contractual Year. The contract year will be 180 days. If the Illinois General Assembly enacts legislation which increases the number of student instructional days in the school year or ISBE interpretation or guidance leads to deficiencies in the school calendar such that the contract year would need to be extended beyond 180 days, the Board and the Association agree to reopen this section of the Agreement. This reopener does not open the salary schedule, but does allow for consideration of salary adjustment based on any increase in number of school days. In such event, the Board and the Association agree to meet within thirty (30) calendar days of the effective date of the law or ISBE interpretation or guidance, unless the parties agree, in writing, to a different time for the meeting.
