DEFINITION OF A TRAINEE. An employee going through a practical period of training while employed by the Company. Any part of the training period may be waived on account of previous experience or related training. It is understood that the first year of the training period is a probationary period and no employee shall be retained in the service after this period if satisfactory progress has not been made. A trainee is required to have an educational standing of Grade Eleven with a preference for higher educational qualifications. The educational qualifications can be waived by the consent of the President.
