Definition of a Grievance. A grievance is a disagreement between District management and an employee, groups of employees or the Union concerning the interpretation, application, or violation of a specific article(s) of this Memorandum of Understanding. The union may not independently submit or process a formal grievance unless it alleges that at least one (1) employee within the Unit has suffered detriment as a result of the aggrieved contract provision.

Definition of a Grievance. A grievance shall be defined as any dispute or controversy between the Company and the Union, between the Company and one or m ore of its employees covered by this Agreement in respect to any matters involving the interpretation, application, or administration of any provision of this Agreement; any matter involving the alleged violation of this Agreement; or any question as to whether any matter is grievable or arbitrable.

Definition of a Grievance. The provisions hereinafter stated apply in all cases except where the Employer and the Union have specifically agreed in writing in respect of other terms and provisions for processing grievances. Complaints or problems that are not grievances as defined above shall be processed in accordance with the grievance procedure, but excluding arbitration.
