Department Seniority. Department seniority is defined as continuous length of service in calendar days within the employee’s department and where applicable, shall be used for internal department processes, such as vacation and schedule bids.
Department Seniority. For all purposes other than layoff, seniority will be calculated by length of time in job class.
Department Seniority. The departmental seniority date of each regular employee shall be defined as the first day of work of the most recent period of continuous service within that department in any Unit C position.

Department Seniority. Department seniority is the length of service in a given department. Points for department seniority are established by the completion of eighty-four (84) straight-time hours in a department. Department seniority begins in the point calculation period in which the employee began the eighty- four (84) straight-time hours. If an employee works in more than one department in a seniority calculation period, the employee will be entitled to one department point for each department worked, provided the employee has worked at least eighty-four (84) hours in each department. An assignment that begins in one point calculation period and ends in another shall have the department point credited to the calculation period in which the assignment began. Under no circumstances shall any employee receive more than one Company point, or more than one Department point in each department in any one seniority calculation period. Starting with the implementation of this contract, employees who start a workweek in one department and get transferred to another department during that workweek shall receive a department point for the department in which the most hours were worked that week.
Department Seniority. Department Seniority shall be defined as an employee’s length of continuous uninterrupted full-time employment as a sworn Police Officer with the City of Orrville Police Department.
Department Seniority. Employees shall be placed on the Departmental Seniority List in accordance with the date they are hired as, or promoted to, or transferred into a Department. A classification within a classification/ series hierarchy shall have the seniority date of their entry into the classification/series within the department.
Department Seniority. Department seniority shall be established as follows: the regular employee having the longest continuous term of service with the Police Department shall be number one on the seniority list and all other regular employees likewise shall be listed according to length of continuous service with the Police Department. Such list shall be updated and posted quarterly and shall include the date of position seniority.
Department Seniority is understood to mean an employee's most recent date of continuous employment with the Port Everglades Department so long as the employee has been carried for payroll purposes as a regular employee. Port Everglades Department Seniority will be used for the purposes of layoff and recall.
Department Seniority. The amount of regular service performed by the employee in the classification in the department and higher classification in question in that department since the most recent date of hire to the classification within the department. A break in service within the department shall cause a loss of department seniority.
