Design and Construction Documents. All design Documents required for the Work shall be sufficiently complete to allow Owner to review the design and authorize the start of construction of all elements of the Work. Owner's responses shall be delivered in accordance with Appendix "J".

Lessee shall obtain all other necessary utility plans from the appropriate public utility companies.

Design and Construction Documents. County’s primary submission will be the Design and Construction Documents. Prior to putting the Project out for construction bids, the County must obtain WMATA’s written approval of the final “release for construction” set of the Design and Construction Documents. The Design and Construction Documents shall include, but not be limited to, the following: i. Progressive stages of design, including at the minimum, “concept” design, “definitive” design (which must show progressive stages of design at 30% (update), 60%, 90%, and 100%), and “release for construction” submittals. ii. The proposed Project Schedule with a preliminary description of construction sequencing for the Project. iii. A proposed schedule-based submittal plan listing the submissions to be made to WMATA for review and approval. iv. A list of any and all WMATA Facilities to be affected, altered, and/or removed during the Project and procedures to be used for protection, restoration, and/or replacement of the WMATA Facilities affected, removed, and/or altered. County’s plans must show how WMATA’s operations will maintain full functionality during construction, including any interim facility plans. v. A written description and graphical representation of the physical impact that construction of the Project will have on WMATA Facilities currently in operation. The description must list all penetrations and planned modifications at or near any portion of existing WMATA Facilities. vi. An outline of the critical construction procedures of the Project, including (but not limited to) procedures for work interfacing with WMATA Facilities, blasting, support of excavation, shoring, false work, and form work. The outline must include a description of the means and methods to be used for each critical construction procedure. vii. A monitoring and contingency plan. County shall develop a monitoring and contingency plan in accordance with the Adjacent Construction Project Manual.
