Detective Position. A. The assignment of a Patrol Officer to Detective duty or reassignment to the Patrol Division shall be by the Chief of Police. Selection to the Detective Bureau shall be from a list developed from the current Sergeant list, with the first seven (7) interested candidates appearing on such list based on the score received on the examination plus one-quarter (1/4) point for each year of service up to a maximum of four (4) points, and each of such seven (7) employees shall have at least five (5) years of service within the Department. Should a tie exist for purposes of inclusion with the first seven (7), it shall be resolved in favor of the employee who has the earliest date of employment in the Department. B. No duly assigned Detective shall be transferred back to the Patrol Division without reasonable cause as it relates to the performance of his/her duties as a Detective, provided a probationary period of six (6) months as Detective has been completed. A Detective is a Police Officer who has been assigned to the Detective Bureau by the Chief of Police in accordance with the provisions of paragraph A above.
Detective Position. Employees must have at least three (3) years of experience as a road officer to be considered for a detective position.
Detective Position. Council hereby approves the position of Police Detective. The Chief of Police will have the power to appoint a Patrolman or Sergeant to the position of Detective.

The hours will be flexed to cover investigations. The Detective will receive administrative days prorated to equal that of an Officer working a four (4) and two (2) schedule. The Chief will provide for necessary training for the Detective position. The Detective will be compensated at a rate calculated to be 10% above the highest patrolman’s rate. Assignments will be based on the following: 1) letter of interest 2) Qualifications 3) Capability of doing the job/hours 4) Seniority 5) Recommendation of Supervisors

  • STATEWIDE ACHIEVEMENT TESTING When CONTRACTOR is a NPS, per implementation of Senate Bill 484, CONTRACTOR shall administer all Statewide assessments within the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (“CAASPP”), Desired Results Developmental Profile (“DRDP”), California Alternative Assessment (“CAA”), achievement and abilities tests (using LEA-authorized assessment instruments), the Fitness Gram, , the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (“ELPAC”), and as appropriate to the student, and mandated by LEA pursuant to LEA and state and federal guidelines. CONTRACTOR is subject to the alternative accountability system developed pursuant to Education Code section 52052, in the same manner as public schools. Each LEA student placed with CONTRACTOR by the LEA shall be tested by qualified staff of CONTRACTOR in accordance with that accountability program. ▇▇▇ shall provide test administration training to CONTRACTOR’S qualified staff.   • Filling Positions ‌ The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency. A. An agency’s internal layoff list will consist of employees who have elected to place their name on the layoff list through Article 34, Layoff and Recall, of this Agreement and are confined to each individual agency. A promotional candidate is defined as an employee who has completed the probationary period within a permanent appointment and has attained permanent status within the agency. D. A transfer candidate is defined as an employee in permanent status in the same classification as the vacancy within the agency. E. A voluntary demotion candidate is defined as an employee in permanent status moving to a class in a lower salary range maximum within the agency. F. When filling a vacant position with a permanent appointment, candidates will be certified for further consideration in the following manner: 1. The most senior candidate on the agency’s internal layoff list with the required skills and abilities who has indicated an appropriate geographic availability will be appointed to the position. 2. If there are no names on the internal layoff list, the agency will certify up to twenty (20) candidates for further consideration. Up to seventy-five percent (75%) of those candidates will be statewide layoff, agency promotional, internal transfers, and agency voluntary demotions. All candidates certified must have the position-specific skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
