Direct Labor Costs Times a Factor Clause Samples

The "Direct Labor Costs Times a Factor" clause defines how compensation for certain services is calculated by multiplying the direct labor costs by a predetermined factor. In practice, this means that the contractor's actual labor expenses are identified and then increased by an agreed-upon multiplier to cover overhead, profit, and other indirect costs. This approach streamlines billing and ensures that both parties have a clear, predictable method for determining total payment. Its core function is to simplify cost allocation and provide transparency in pricing, reducing disputes over indirect cost recovery.
