Estimated Useful. Life The estimated time from the date of acquisition to the date of replacement or disposal, determined in any reasonable manner. Inspection An examination of delivered material, supplies, services, and/or equipment prior to Acceptance aimed at forming a judgment as to whether such delivered items are what was ordered, were properly delivered and ready for Acceptance. Inspection may include a high level visual examination or a more thorough detailed examination as is customary to the type of purchase, as set forth in the solicitation document and/or as agreed between the parties. Inspection shall be acknowledged by an authorized signature of the Purchaser. Life Cycle Cost The total cost of an item to the state over its Estimated Useful Life, including costs of selection, acquisition, operation, maintenance, and where applicable, disposal, as far as these costs can reasonably be determined, minus the salvage value at the end of its estimated useful life. Master Contracts & Consulting (MCC) The MCC within the Washington Department of Enterprise Services, Master Contracts & Consulting authorized under Chapter 39.26 RCW (formerly Chapter 43.19 RCW) to develop and administer contracts for goods and services on behalf of state agencies, colleges and universities, non-profit organizations and local governments. Order Document A written communication, submitted by a Purchaser to the Contractor, which details the specific transactional elements required by the Purchaser within the scope of the Contract such as delivery date, size, color, capacity, etc. An Order Document may include, but is not limited to field orders, purchase orders, work order or other writings as may be designated by the parties hereto. No additional or alternate terms and conditions on such written communication shall apply unless authorized by the Contract and expressly agreed between the Purchaser and the Contractor.   • Estimate The Engineer shall independently develop and report quantities necessary to construct the contract in standard State bid format at the specified milestones and Final PS&E submittals. The Engineer shall prepare each construction cost estimates using Estimator or any approved method. The estimate shall be provided at each milestone submittal or in DCIS format at the 95% and Final PS&E submittals per State’s District requirement.

  • ESTIMATED QUANTITIES 1.1 The quantities set forth in the line items and specification document are approximate and represent the estimated requirements for the contract period. 1.2 Items listed may or may not be an inclusive requirements for this category. 1.3 Category items not listed, but distributed by bidder are to be referred to as kindred items. It shall include a breakdown for labor, materials, equipment and markups for overhead and profit, unless TxDOT agrees otherwise. If the work is to be performed by Subcontractors and if the work is sufficiently defined to obtain Subcontractor quotes, DB Contractor shall obtain quotes (with breakdowns showing cost of labor, materials, equipment and markups for overhead and profit) on the Subcontractor’s stationery and shall include such quotes as back-up for DB Contractor’s estimate. No markup shall be allowed in excess of the amounts allowed under Section 10.6. DB Contractor shall identify all conditions with respect to prices or other aspects of the cost estimate, such as pricing contingent on firm orders being made by a certain date or the occurrence or non-occurrence of an event.
