Common use of First Shift Clause in Contracts

First Shift. The first shift is defined as any work shift beginning between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

First Shift. The term First Shift shall mean any shift starting at or after 7:00 a. m. and at or before 9:00 a.m. The time when employees actually commence work shall determine whether or not they shall be entitled to alternate first shift is defined differential pay as any work shift beginning between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.described in 8.1(i).
