Common use of First Shift Clause in Contracts

First Shift. The regular working day shall consist of eight (8) hours labor in the shop or on a job between six (6:00) AM and four-thirty (4:30) PM, and the regular working week shall consist of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days labor in the shop or on the job, beginning with Monday and ending with Friday of each week. The hours specified herein shall be recognized as regular time and be paid for at the regular hourly rates specified in this Agreement or Addendum.
