First Source Hiring Ordinance Sample Clauses

The First Source Hiring Ordinance is a contractual provision that requires employers, typically those involved in city-funded projects, to prioritize hiring local residents for available job openings. In practice, this means employers must notify a designated city agency of job vacancies and consider candidates referred by that agency before seeking applicants elsewhere. The core function of this clause is to promote local employment opportunities and ensure that public investments benefit the community by increasing access to jobs for residents.
