Common use of Five Day Work Week Schedule Clause in Contracts

Five Day Work Week Schedule. a) When working under the five (5) day work week schedule, Employees shall receive one and one-half (1.5x) times their regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours of overtime Monday through Friday. All other overtime Monday through Friday shall be paid at double time (2x). b) When working under the five (5) day work week schedule, Saturday may be used as a make- up day when weather or other conditions beyond the Employers' control, which halt work, have caused lost time during the regular work week. A make-up day will only be worked during the same week that the time is lost. Work performed on a make-up day shall be paid at the regular straight time rate for the first eight (8) hours, at one and one half (1.5x) times their regular rate for the first two hours of overtime, after which double time (2x) shall apply. In no case shall the time scheduled on a make-up day be less than eight (8) hours. Time worked on make-up days shall be on a voluntary basis and each Employee has the right to refuse such work.
