Fixings. Screw fixings in brickwork, concrete or similar structural substances, on external face or in damp situations and which necessitate plugging, are to be made with plastic plugs or other approved materials. Screws used in exposed conditions or in damp situations shall be of brass or other approved non-rusting materials. The Engineer must approve alternative fixing methods. Heavy apparatus shall be secured by ▇▇▇▇ bolts securely grouted in or by an equal and approved method. Equipment fixed to parts of the structure shall be fixed in accordance with the instructions of the Architect, so that the load bearing of the structure members or the efficiency of waterproofing will not be affected.
Fixings. It is vital that all associated elements at the Site meet Building Codes. Any deviations that subsequently affect the lift will be the responsibility of the Client.
Fixings. Anchors, plugs, screws, rivets and the like, shall be of an approved type, appropriate to the work, capable of transmitting the loads and stresses imposed, and sufficient to ensure the rigidity. All bolts, screws, nuts and anchors shall be of adequate strength for their design purpose and installed in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. All visible screws shall be snake eye security countersunk screws, painted where applicable to match paint finish. All bolt fixings shall use washers and double nuts for locking. Fixings should not be visible unless identified as such. Where visible fixings are deemed unavoidable these should be identified by the SWC. Fixings should not compromise air exchange requirements in showcases.
Fixings. Fixings direct to conduit boxes shall consist of cadmium plated or sherardized steel screws screwed into the conduit box fixing lugs. Extra independent fixings into concrete or brick shall consist of suitable fibre or plastic fixing plugs and steel or brass wood screws. Wooden fixing plugs shall not be used. Fixings for fittings over 10kg in mass shall be of the self-drill anchor or expanding bolt-type. Fixings into hollow blocks etc.shall consist of steel screws secured into the hollow cavity with a spring loaded toggle-nut or other approved cavity fixing device. Cartridge pin fixings shall not be used unless the prior approval of the Engineer is obtained in writing. Refer also to clause 12.17 (Fixings and supports).
Fixings. Not to glue - nail - screw or otherwise fix anything whatsoever to the interior or exterior of the subjects or the contents without the Landlord's/Landlord's Agent's prior written consent. In particular this provision applies to any pictures, posters (and the like) to any walls, ceilings or doors. The Tenant accepts that any TV/VCR/Audio equipment left in the premises are by courtesy of the Landlord and any defect or failure to perform will not constitute a cause for complaint. The Tenant will be responsible for the TV licence. Not to cause any obstruction to the drains or any jointly used access and to keep all drainage outlets and gutters clear of any blockage, the chimneys swept when necessary (at least annually) and any jointly used access clean and tidy and to pay any consequential remedial and reinstatement costs attendant to a default of this provision.

  • Progress Meetings The Engineer shall from time to time during the progress of the work confer with the State. The Engineer shall prepare and present such information as may be pertinent and necessary or as may be requested by the State in order to evaluate features of the work.
