Flotation Tests Procedure. The representative feed sample weighing 100-250 gm used in each mechanical flotation test was attrition scrubbed at 1800 rpm and at 35-40% solids with sodium silicate for 5-10 minutes. The scrubbing was followed by conditioning with suitable dosages of collectors for 2-3 minutes. The water was added to make up the final slurry volume to 1 liter, and 2 drops of Dowfroth-250 was added. After 5 minutes, the rpm was reduced to 1000, and flotation was initiated by controlling the airflow rate. The flotation run time was 6-7 minutes depending upon the reagent's dosage level. The entire sample of the collected concentrate and the tail was dried and weighed. The concentrate and tailings collected from the sample were analyzed for the gross counts and Ra-226 activity. The schematic of the 1L Denver flotation cell is shown in Figure 18.

  • PROFESSIONAL GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE A. Any claim by the Association or a teacher that there has been a violation, misinterpretation, or misapplication of the terms of the Agreement or violation of any established policy shall be a grievance and shall be resolved through the procedure set forth herein. B. In the event that a teacher, or the Association believes there is a basis for a grievance, the teacher or representative of the Association within thirty (30) working days of the time the teacher knew of the circumstances giving rise to the grievance, shall first discuss the alleged grievance with the building principal either personally or accompanied by the Association Representative. The grievance process may begin at the Superintendent’s level when the building principal is not involved with an alleged incident. C. If, as a result of the informal discussion with the building principal, a grievance still exists, the teacher or representative of the Association may, within ten (10) working days, invoke the formal grievance procedure through the Association on the grievance report form, signed by the grievant and a representative of the Association. Said form shall be available from the Association Representative in each building. A copy of the grievance form shall be delivered to the building principal, it may be filed with the Superintendent or a representative designated by him. D. Within five (5) working days of receipt of the grievance the principal shall meet with the Association in an effort to resolve the grievance. The principal shall indicate his/her disposition of the grievance in writing within five (5) working days of such meeting and shall furnish a copy thereof to the Association. If the Association desires to proceed to the next step, it shall do so within fifteen (15) calendar days of the principal’s disposition. E. If the Association is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance, or if no disposition has been made within five (5) working days of such meeting (or ten [10] working days from the date of filing, whichever shall be later) the grievance shall be transmitted to the Superintendent. Within seven (7) working days the Superintendent or his/her designee, shall meet with the Association concerning the grievance and shall indicate his/her disposition of the grievance in writing within five (5) working days of such meeting, and shall furnish a copy thereof to the Association. F. If the Association is not satisfied with the disposition of the superintendent, or if no disposition has been received within five (5) working days of such meeting the Association may proceed to a Board Level Hearing. This grievance hearing shall be heard in closed session, so long as it does not violate the open meetings act. If the grievance is not settled at the preceding step, it may be submitted to binding arbitration. Within fifteen (15) working days of the receipt of the Superintendent’s answer, the party choosing to arbitrate must give written notice to the other party, setting forth specifically the nature of the dispute to be arbitrated. The charging party shall file a Demand for Arbitration with the American Arbitration Association within fifteen (15) days from the notification date that arbitration will be pursued. The arbitrator shall be selected by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its rules, which shall likewise govern the arbitration proceedings. G. The arbitrator shall have no power to rule on any of the following: 1. The termination of services of or failure to re-employ any probationary teacher. 2. Any claim or complaint for which there is another remedial procedure or forum established by law or by regulation having the force of law, including any matter subject to the procedures specified in the Teacher’s Tenure Act (Act IV Public Acts, Extra Session of 1937 of Michigan, as amended). 3. Any matter involving the content of a teacher evaluation. H. The Board and the Association shall not be permitted to assert in such arbitration proceedings any ground or to rely on any evidence not previously disclosed to the other party. The arbitrator shall have no power to alter, add to, or subtract from the terms of this Agreement. Both parties agree to be bound by the decision of the arbitrator and agree that judgment thereon may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. I. The fees and expense of the arbitrator shall be shared equally by both parties. J. The time limits provided in this Article shall be strictly observed but may be extended by written agreement of the parties. In the event a grievance is filed after May 15 of any year and strict adherence to the time limits may result in hardship to any party, the Board shall use its best efforts to process such grievance prior to the end of the school term or as soon thereafter as possible.

  • Test procedure The engine speed shall be gradually increased from idle to the target engine speed, not exceeding the tolerance band of ±3 per cent of the target engine speed, and held constant. Then the throttle control shall be rapidly released and the engine speed shall be returned to idle. The sound pressure level shall be measured during a period of operation consisting of a maintaining constant engine speed of 1 second and throughout the entire deceleration period. The maximum sound level meter reading during this period of operation, mathematically rounded to the first decimal place, is taken as the test value.

  • ARTICLE GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE The parties to this Agreement are agreed that it is of the utmost importance to adjust complaints and grievances as quickly as possible. Unless agreed to by both the Company and the Union, no grievance shall be presented, the alleged circumstances of which originated or occurred, or should have come to the attention of the employee concerned, more than five (5) working days prior to its original presentation in writing at Step A grievance shall consist of a dispute concerning interpretation and/or application of any Article, Schedule or Clause in this Agreement. Should a grievance arise it shall be handled as follows. Prior to filing a formal grievance, an employee will, with the assistance of his ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, refer the on an informal basis to his immediate Supervisor. If the grievance cannot be settled as a result of this discussion, then it may be dealt with as follows: STEP The employee shall a written grievance with his immediate Supervisor within five (5) working days of the incident giving rise to the complaint. The Union may not institute a grievance directly affecting an employee or employees which such employee or employees could themselves institute and the regular Grievance Procedure shall not thereby be by-passed except where the grievance would affect the Bargaining Unit as a whole. This Clause shall not preclude a group grievance signed by a group of employees commencing at Step Any complaint or grievance which is not commenced or processed through the next stage of the Grievance or Arbitration Procedure within the time specified shall be deemed to have been dropped. However, time limits specified in the Grievance Procedure may be extended by mutual agreement in writing between the Company and the Union. An employee who has been discharged or suspended may file a written grievance at Step within five (5) working days of the discharge or suspension. In taking disciplinary action within twenty-four (24) months from the date of a suspension or dismissal (reinstatement) for a similar infraction, the Company may consider the employee's entire record preceding suspension or dismissal (reinstatement), as the case may be. In taking disciplinary action within twelve 2) months from the date of an oral or written warning for a similar infraction, the Company may consider the employee's entire record preceding the employee's oral or written warning, as the case may be.

  • 000 GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE 7. 100 It is agreed that it is the spirit and intent of this Agreement to adjust grievances promptly. All grievances, including discharge for just cause, but not those pertaining to jurisdictional disputes that may arise on any work covered by this Agreement, must be initiated within fifteen (15) working days of the incident by either the employee in Step I or the Local Union in Step II and shall be handled in the following manner:

  • Sale Procedure During the period from the giving of notice pursuant to Section 10.01(a) hereof until the Proposed Termination Date, the Lessee, as non-exclusive agent for the Lessor, shall use its reasonable efforts to obtain bids for the cash purchase on the Proposed Termination Date (or such earlier date as shall be consented to in writing by the Lessor) of the Aircraft. On the Proposed Termination Date, the Engines shall be installed on the Airframe (provided that the Airframe may be sold with engines meeting the requirements set forth herein for Replacement Engines in lieu of the Engines so long as the aggregate number of Engines and Replacement Engines being sold with the Airframe equals two). The Lessor may, if it desires to do so, seek to obtain such bids. The Owner Participant shall not inspect any bids received by the Lessee with respect to the Aircraft, unless the Owner Participant has given to the Lessee binding and irrevocable notice that neither the Owner Participant nor any of its Affiliates nor any Person acting for the Owner Participant or such Affiliate will submit a bid for the purchase of the Aircraft and if such notice has been given, the Lessee will provide the Lessor with copies of bids received by the Lessee. No bid may be submitted by the Lessee or any Person affiliated with the Lessee (or with whom or which there is any arrangement or understanding as to the subsequent use of the Aircraft by the Lessee or any of its Affiliates) or any agent or Person acting on behalf of the Lessee. The Lessee may reject any bid which is less than the sum of the applicable Termination Value, the aggregate amount of any Make-Whole Premium and all other expenses incurred by the Lessor, the Owner Participant and the Indenture Trustee in connection with the sale. Subject to the provisions of Section 10.02 hereof, on the Proposed Termination Date or such earlier date of sale as shall be consented to in writing by the Lessor, the Lessee shall deliver the Airframe which shall have the Engines installed on it (provided that the Airframe may be delivered with installed engines meeting the requirements set forth herein for Replacement Engines in lieu of the Engines so long as the aggregate number of Engines and Replacement Engines being delivered with the Airframe equals two and the Lessee shall comply with the provisions of Section 11.04 hereof as if an Event of Loss occurred with regard to the Engines) to the bidder which shall have submitted the highest cash bid (whether certified to the Lessor by the Lessee or directly received by the Lessor and certified to the Lessee) in the same manner as if delivery were made to the Lessor pursuant to Article 12 hereof, at a location specified by such bidder, and shall duly transfer to the Lessor title to any such engines not owned by the Lessor, and the Lessor shall, upon payment in full of the bid price and all amounts due and owing pursuant to Section 10.01(c) hereof by wire transfer of immediately available funds and upon discharge of the Lien of the Indenture in accordance with Article XIV thereof, sell the Airframe and Engines or engines to such bidder without recourse or warranty (except as to the absence of Lessor's Liens).
