FREQUENCY MEASUREMENTS. The frequency must be measured locally for each Delivery Point unless Virtual Delivery Points. Accuracy of frequency measurements must be better than 10 mHz. The setpoint of frequency is 50,000 Hz and must be aligned with the local controller. The BSP must only install a frequency meter for the Delivery Point with limited energy reservoir that directly delivers the Service. For a Technical Unit used as part of the Energy Management Strategy of a Providing Group which has energy limited reservoirs but is not the Delivery Point with which the Providing Group is delivering the Service the BSP is not obliged to install a frequency meter.

The Interchange Equipment Operator shall adhere to the minimum values for measuring devices as listed below: Device Accuracy Digital Frequency Transducer = 0.001 Hz MW, MVAR, and voltage transducer = 0.25 % of full scale Remote terminal unit = 0.25 % of full scale Potential transformer = 0.30 % of full scale Current transformer = 0.50 % of full scale

FREQUENCY MEASUREMENTS. The frequency measurements must be local, meaning that a frequency meter must be installed at the site of each Delivery Point. This rule is not aplicable in case of Virtual Delivery Points and Technical Units used as part of the Energy Management Strategy which are not performing the FCR Service. In case of a Virtual Delivery PointsPoint, one frequency meter for all Technical Units part of the Virtual Delivery point suffices. The BSP may decide on where to install the frequency meter of the Virtual Delivery Point. If a BSP provides the FCR Service with several Virtual Delivery Points, a different frequency meter must be usedinstalled for each concerned Virtual Delivery Point for redundancy reasons. SPP BA Participants that are designated to provide frequency measurements to SPP shall provide accurate frequency measurements from these location(s) with measurement quality indication. SPP BA Participants shall perform annually, against a common reference, checks and calibrations of its time error and frequency devices used to supply SPP with data used by SPP to perform BA functions (“Actions”). For purposes of this section, “annually” shall mean “within a calendar year, with the calendar year beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31;” however, the period between subsequent annual checks and calibrations under this section shall not exceed fifteen (15) months. Documents verifying such Actions shall be provided to SPP BA as requested by SPP.

  • Measurements Units set out in SI (metric) are the governing units for the purposes of this Contract. Units set out in Imperial measurement in parentheses beside their SI (metric) equivalent are for reference only and in the event of a conflict between SI (metric) and Imperial measurement herein, SI (metric) shall prevail.
