HOLIDAY DEFINED. In addition to vacation leave, Auditor Department employees are entitled to holiday pay based on the standard workday for: New Year’s Day Juneteenth Thanksgiving ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ Day Independence Day Day after Thanksgiving President's Day Columbus Day ½ Day Christmas Eve Good Friday Day ½ day Labor Day Christmas Day Memorial Day Veterans Day Floating Holiday Employees will also be entitled to four (4) hours of Holiday pay taken on either Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. Scheduling will be handled based on departmental needs. If the schedule cannot be handled by mutual agreement in the department, then seniority will determine the holiday schedule. Use of floating holiday must be used in full day increments. Notice must be given by the end of the previous business day. The Auditor commits that use of a floating holiday shall not be unreasonably denied. Floating holidays must be used within the calendar year and cannot be carried over to the following year. Holidays shall occur on the days specified in Section 1.14 of the Revised Code. In the event that any of the aforesaid holidays fall on a Saturday, the Friday immediately preceding shall be observed as the holiday. In the event that any of the aforesaid holidays fall on a Sunday, the Monday immediately succeeding shall be observed as the holiday. If an employee's work schedule is other than Monday through Friday, employee is entitled to holiday pay for holidays observed on employee’s day off, regardless of the day of the week on which they are observed.

HOLIDAY DEFINED. Holidays shall begin the day shift on the day of the holiday and end with the beginning of the day shift after the holiday. The Christmas holiday shall begin at 3:00pm on Christmas Eve and end at 11:00pm on Christmas Day.

HOLIDAY DEFINED. Any holiday set forth in Section 20.1 begins at 12:00 Midnight on the actual date of the holiday and ends at 11:59 PM the same date. The current shift designations for holidays in Utilities-Water Treatment Plant, Utilities-Waste Water Treatment Plant and Parks-Fitness Center shall continue. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday will be celebrated on Friday and if it falls on Sunday, the holiday will be celebrated on a Monday.

HOLIDAY DEFINED. (1) Full Holiday - When used herein, the term "full holiday" shall mean a full twenty-four (24) hours, commencing at 12:00 Midnight of the eve of the holiday and ending at 12:00 Midnight on the night of the holiday. (2) Half Holiday - When used herein, the term "half holiday" shall mean a period of twelve (12) hours commencing at 12:00 noon of the holiday and ending at 12:00 Midnight on the night of the holiday.

HOLIDAY DEFINED. For the purpose of determining whether a shift falls on a holiday, the shift commencing at 2300 and ending at 0700 shall be the first shift of the day. Nurses working that shift and the two subsequent shifts shall be compensated in accordance with the holiday pay provision.

  • Seniority Defined Seniority is defined as the total length of service in the bargaining unit as an employee, regardless of occupational change. Seniority shall be used as one of the factors in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfers, demotions, terminations and layoff caused by force reductions and recall.   • Overtime Defined All time worked before or after the regular work day, the regular work week or on a holiday, as specified herein, shall be considered overtime.
