Holiday Pay When Not Worked Sample Clauses

The "Holiday Pay When Not Worked" clause defines how employees are compensated for holidays on which they do not perform any work. Typically, this clause outlines eligibility requirements, such as employment status or minimum tenure, and specifies the amount of pay—often equivalent to a regular workday—that employees receive for designated holidays even if they are not scheduled to work. Its core function is to ensure fair and consistent treatment of employees regarding paid holidays, providing clarity and preventing disputes over holiday compensation.
Holiday Pay When Not Worked. Each eligible employee will receive eight (8) hours pay at the employee’s regular straight-time rate for each observed holiday not worked, provided the employee has worked their entire scheduled shifts prior to and immediately following the holiday.
