Hours of Work Schedules. 17:01 The Employer will post a two (2) week schedule no later than noon on Sunday one (1) week prior to commencement of the next pay period. The schedule will include exact start times at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees will be notified verbally or via e-mail of start times in accordance with the employee’s request. (i) The Employer will give employees twenty-four (24) hours’ verbal notice of any cancellation or change of a scheduled shift’s start or end time whenever possible but at least ten (10) hours notice. This Article shall not apply where the reason for the cancellation is beyond the Employer’s control (ex. weather conditions, breakdown, change in business needs, etc.). (ii) Should a minimum of ten (10) hours verbal notice not be provided for the cancellation of a shift, and the employee shows up for their shift, the employee will be provided a minimum four (4) hour shift. If the employee chooses to leave rather than work than the four (4) hours, the employee will only be paid for the time actually worked. 17:03 The Employer agrees to schedule mandatory meetings or training with a minimum length of three (3) hours. Employees shall be compensated at their applicable rate of pay for their attendance. Employees who fail to attend such meetings or training will be required to provide the Employer with a satisfactory explanation and self-train to bring themselves to an acceptable level in the area concerned. 17:04 Employees shall not be regularly scheduled for less than four (4) hours of work on days they are scheduled to work. Weekly available hours of work to any individual employee will be scheduled in accordance with seniority within their classification. 17:05 All employees will be granted one (1) paid fifteen (15) minute rest period for each four (4) consecutive hours worked. This rest period cannot commence before 90 minutes of an employee’s shift have elapsed, unless management approval is obtained. This rest period must be taken at one time in its entirety. Additional breaks outside of this one 15 minute rest period will not be permitted for any purpose, including smoking. 17:06 All employees will receive one half (½) hour unpaid meal break if scheduled for five (5) hours or more. This unpaid meal break shall be scheduled by the Employer. The Employer will mandate that everyone takes their appropriate break during their shift and management will not perform the employee’s work during such period. However, in order to be paid for working during this unpaid meal break, employee(s) must obtain the Employer’s permission to continue working. 17:07 Employees who are scheduled to work and who are not able to report to work due to illness shall advise the Employer at least ten (10) hours whenever possible before their scheduled start time. Employees who provide the Employer with a satisfactory explanation as determined by the Employer shall not be disciplined for failing to contact the Employer within this specified time period. 17:08 Full-time employees must make themselves available during all hours of operation between May to and including September and December, during which time such employee will be scheduled for a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week. During the months of January to and including April, October and November, full-time employees must make themselves available during all hours of operation and will be scheduled for an average of thirty (30) hours per week over a six (6) week period.

Hours of Work Schedules. 17:01 12.1 Schedule of shifts to be worked shall be posted a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours before the date of implementation.
12.2 The Employer will post shall assign shifts within classifications based on seniority, availability and capability to a two maximum of eight (28) hours in any one day and forty (40) week schedule no later than noon on Sunday hours in any one (1) week prior for any individual employee. In the event that the parties agree to commencement merge one (1) or more existing classifications into a single classification, the Employer will use their best effort in assigning senior employees' preferred work assignment provided they are capable of performing the available work.
12.3 Employees shall be available to work a minimum of three (3) days per week on at least two (2) of the next pay periodfollowing days: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The schedule will include exact start times at least seventy-Employees may change their availability by providing the new availability in writing to the Employer two (722) hours weeks prior to the commencement effective date of the shiftnew availability. 12.6 Time shall be computed from the time the employee is regularly scheduled to report for work, provided that the employee is available for work at that time.
12.7 No employee shall be required to work a split shift without the employee's consent.
12.8 Unless expressly stated in this Agreement, the employee will only schedules of hours of work and days of work shall not be paid for the time actually workedconstrued as providing a guarantee of work or pay to any employee.

However, in order to be paid for working during this unpaid meal break, employee(s) must obtain most junior employee and going up the Employer’s permission to continue workingseniority ladder.
