Common use of Hours of Work Work Schedules Clause in Contracts

Hours of Work Work Schedules. ‌ If the union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or bargaining committee member at the local level wishes to propose a change to the existing work schedules, in a given component or team, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or bargaining committee member shall provide the Employer with the proposal in writing. Prior to initiating a meeting with the Employer, it is understood that the factors to be addressed in the Union's proposal would include, but not be limited to: (a) Any newly proposed work schedule shall meet the hours of operation requirements and shall consider unusual or seasonal demands and functionally linked work groups within the organization; (b) Proposed changes must not result in increased cost to the Employer. The Employer will review any reasonable request, however, the Employer retains the right to deny the proposal based on operational and administrative requirements. The Employer will explain their reasons for such denial in writing. This article is not intended to override or substitute for any other existing section of Article 15 (Hours of Work). OVERTIME‌
