Instructional Assignment. 1. The maximum weekly instructional assignment for a full time elementary teacher shall be 1425 minutes per week, less the number of minutes which shall be provided for the purpose of preparation. 2. The maximum weekly instructional assignment for a full time secondary teacher shall be 1545 minutes per week, less 193 minutes which shall be provided for the purpose of preparation. 3. Instructional assignment shall be defined as time during the instructional week devoted to teaching courses and lessons, supervise curricular activities, including study periods and assigned pupil contact time. 4. Part-time teachers of 0.4 FTE or more shall receive preparation time prorated to their FTE status. Note: See also Article D.4 Preparation Time.
