INTERPRETATION OF DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. The Contractor shall carefully study and compare the Contract Documents with each other, with field conditions and with the information furnished by the Department and shall at once report to the Project Manager errors, conflicts, ambiguities, inconsistencies or omissions discovered. Should an item not be sufficiently detailed or explained in the Contract Documents, Contractor shall report and request the Project Manager’s clarification and interpretation. The Project Manager will issue a final clarification or final interpretation.
INTERPRETATION OF DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. The Project Engineer, ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇, will use his transportation experience to assist with project submittal review and provide comments to the Town’s Project Manager. If needed, we will forward any submittal reviews to the appropriate party, including the structural engineer. This advanced work ensures constructability of the project and that all specifications are met. In addition, we will log receipt of all requests for information (RFIs), forward the RFI to the appropriate party, coordinate with the Town’s Project Manager for response and closure, and document the results in a tracking system to assure that all questions are resolved promptly. Any field revisions to the plans will be coordinated with the Town Project Manager and the Engineer of Record for potential change orders and distributed to the contractor, the Town, and affected parties. ▇▇▇▇ and ▇▇▇▇▇ can perform multiple roles, allowing for flexibility of tasks. Project observations and inspections will be performed prior to and during work on major items, ensuring they are completed in accordance with project plans, standards, and specifications. RockSol will prepare pay item measurement and documentation which meets all applicable CDOT, County, FHWA, or Local Agency standards. Our team will perform daily checks on critical path items. We will prepare interim measurements for each monthly pay estimate as well as final measurements and documentation for each item as that item is completed. ▇▇▇▇ will serve part time as the project engineer guiding the inspection, materials testing and documentation. Kaleb will be on site more regularly as-needed for inspection, and he holds ACI Field certifications to perform some of the concrete testing to help minimize project costs.
INTERPRETATION OF DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. If any Bidder has any question as to the true meaning of the scope of any part of the Work, it shall submit to the Owner a written request for an interpretation thereof. The entity submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery in ample time for an interpretation to be issued before the bid opening date. Questions must be received by 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 and answers to the questions will be given by 2:00 PM on Friday, March 22, 2019. Interpretations of the documents will be made only by addendum, and a copy of the addendum will be made available to each entity receiving a set of the documents. The Owner will not be responsible for other interpretations of the documents. The bids shall be opened publicly, and evaluated by the Owner without discussion with the bidders.

City will issue with reasonable promptness written responses, clarifications or interpretations as City may determine necessary, which shall be consistent with the intent of and be reasonably inferable from Contract Documents. Such written clarifications or interpretations shall be binding upon Contractor. If Contractor believes that a written response, clarification or interpretation justifies an adjustment in the Contract sum or Contract time, Contractor shall give City prompt written notice. If the parties are unable to agree to the amount or extent of the adjustment, if any, then Contractor shall perform the Work in conformance with City’s response, clarification, or interpretation and may make a written claim for the adjustment as provided in this Contract.
INTERPRETATION OF DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. The SPECIFICATIONS and the DRAWINGS are intended to describe and provide for a completed PROJECT. They are intended to be complementary, and what is called for by either shall be complete in every detail, notwithstanding that every item necessarily involved is not particularly mentioned, and the CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor and materials necessary for the entire COMPLETION of the WORK intended to be described.

  • Drawings and Specifications 9.1 A complete list of all Drawings that form a part of the Contract Documents are to be found as an index on the Drawings themselves, and/or may be provided to Developer and/or in the Table of Contents. 9.2 Materials or Work described in words that so applied have a well-known technical or trade meaning shall be deemed to refer to recognized standards, unless noted otherwise. 9.3 Trade Name or Trade Term It is not the intention of the Contract Documents to go into detailed descriptions of any materials and/or methods commonly known to the trade under “trade name” or “trade term.” The mere mention or notation of “trade name” or “trade term” shall be considered a sufficient notice to Developer that it will be required to complete the work so named, complete, finished, and operable, with all its appurtenances, according to the best practices of the trade. 9.4 The naming of any material and/or equipment shall mean furnishing and installing of same, including all incidental and accessory items thereto and/or labor therefor, as per best practices of the trade(s) involved, unless specifically noted otherwise. 9.5 Contract Documents are complementary, and what is called for by one shall be binding as if called for by all. As such, Drawings and Specifications are intended to be fully cooperative and to agree. However, if Developer observes that Drawings and Specifications are in conflict with the Contract Documents, Developer shall promptly notify District and Architect in writing, and any necessary changes shall be made as provided in the Contract Documents. 9.6 Figured dimensions shall be followed in preference to scaled dimensions, and Developer shall make all additional measurements necessary for the work and shall be responsible for their accuracy. Before ordering any material or doing any work, each Developer shall verify all measurements at the building and shall be responsible for the correctness of same. 9.7 Should any question arise concerning the intent or meaning of the Contract Documents, including the Plans and Specifications, the question shall be submitted to the District for interpretation. If a conflict exists in the Contract Documents, these Construction Provisions shall control over the Facilities Lease, which shall control over the Site Lease, which shall control over Division 1 Documents, which shall control over Division 2 through Division 49 documents, which shall control over figured dimensions, which shall control over large-scale drawings, which shall control over small-scale drawings. In no case shall a document calling for lower quality and/or quantity of material or workmanship control. However, in the case of discrepancy or ambiguity solely between and among the Drawings and Specifications, the discrepancy or ambiguity shall be resolved in favor of the interpretation that will provide District with the functionally complete and operable Project described in the Drawings and Specifications. 9.8 Drawings and Specifications are intended to comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations of constituted authorities having jurisdiction, and where referred to in the Contract Documents, the laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations shall be considered as a part of the Contract Documents within the limits specified. 9.9 As required by Section 4-317(c), Part 1, Title 24, CCR: “Should any existing conditions such as deterioration or non-complying construction be discovered which is not covered by the DSA-approved documents wherein the finished work will not comply with Title 24, California Code of Regulations, a construction change document, or a separate set of plans and specifications, detailing and specifying the required repair work shall be submitted to and approved by DSA before proceeding with the repair work.”
