Common use of Interruption of Vacation Clause in Contracts

Interruption of Vacation. A bargaining unit member shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate vacation leave in order to begin bereavement leave, jury duty, illness or injury leave, personal necessity leave, or other paid leave as provided by this Agreement without a return to active service, provided the unit member provides to the District adequate notice and relevant supporting information regarding the basis for such interruption or termination.

Interruption of Vacation. The employer reserves the right to request and receive additional documentation verifying the necessity of the interruption or termination. If such documentation is not provided within fifteen (15) work days, the unit member’s vacation shall be adjusted to deduct the days of claimed interruption or termination.
