Joint Study Clause Samples

Joint Study. A teacher may be granted temporary leave to work on a committee jointly spon- sored by the Board and the UTW.
Joint Study. The parties agree to jointly conduct a study of the retiree medical benefit for employees hired before July 1, 2005. The purposes of the study will be to identify cost-containment measures, to analyze whether an alternative form of trust would be preferable to the 401(h) retiree medical trust currently established within SDCERS under Section 24.1203 of the Municipal Code, and to identify and recommend potential sources of revenue, including “13th Check” payments, for pre-funding the retiree medical benefit for employees hired before July 1, 2005. In lieu of the above joint study, MEA may opt to participate in a joint study of these subjects with other City unions on terms acceptable to MEA.
Joint Study. During the term of this Agreement the parties will examine the cost, appropriateness and feasibility of providing sick leave and vacation pay as benefits for unit employees in the successor agreement.
Joint Study. Committee Reports shall remain as confidential reports to the Board and the Association and shall not be released unless mutually agreed upon or discussed in open session.
Joint Study. The parties agree to jointly conduct in FY06 a study of the retiree medical benefit for employees hired before July 1, 2005, using an independent actuary, for the purposes of (1) identifying cost containment measures, (2) identifying an appropriate type of trust for pre-funding retiree medical for current employees, and (3) identifying a funding source for City contribu- tions to retiree medical trust, including the 13th Check. In lieu of the above joint study, AFSCME, Local 127 may opt to participate in a joint study with other City unions on terms acceptable to Local 127.
Joint Study. By no later than August 15, 2005, MEA and the City shall begin a joint study (1) to establish the amount of the contribution by reference to actuarial calculations and other economic considerations; (2) to determine whether this amount will be in lieu of some or all of the current voluntary SPSP contribution; and (3) to agree upon the plan structure and design, plan administration, and employee and City contributions, if any. The Joint Study Committee shall be comprised of three representatives appointed by each party who shall complete the study by no later than January 15, 2006. In lieu of the above joint study, MEA may opt to participate in a joint study on this subject with other City unions on terms acceptable to MEA; and/or may combine this activity with the study of the retiree medical for current employees. Until the vehicle for the defined contribution plan is formalized, all contribution amounts from new employees and from the City, if any, will be held in escrow in SDCERS and invested with other funds to achieve the maximum possible return until the escrowed funds can be transferred to the control of the agreed-upon administrator.
Joint Study. The parties shall conduct a joint study during FY06 on the Trust establishment, administration, plan design, contribution options, and possible use of voluntary SPSP portion for retiree medical. In lieu of the above joint study, AFSCME, Local 127 may opt to participate in a joint study of these subjects with other City unions on terms acceptable to Local 127.
Joint Study. The University and HUCTW jointly developed a Dependent Care Survey addressed to all elements of the Harvard community during their 1989 negotiations. The University and the Union will jointly select a committee of experts and community leaders to review the survey results, to assess the problems and services in the greater Boston area, and to consider means to provide quality care at lower costs, recognizing a role for households, community groups, employers, and governments.
Joint Study. The Council and the City will work jointly to measure wastewater flows and rainfall totals collected by existing the Council meters to assess program effectiveness.

  • Independent Study A sabbatical leave may be granted for a plan of independent study, research, writing, and/or travel equivalent in time and rigor to a sabbatical for formal study. A detailed, specific plan must be submitted by the applicant and approved by the Salary and Leaves Committee as likely to improve the applicant’s teaching effectiveness, strengthen the College’s academic program, or otherwise bring a clear benefit to students. In addition, sabbaticals for independent study must generate tangible products of use to students.

  • Development Plan document specifying the work program, schedule, and relevant investments required for the Development and the Production of a Discovery or set of Discoveries of Oil and Gas in the Concession Area, including its abandonment.

  • Study An application for leave of absence for professional study must be supported by a written statement indicating what study or research is to be undertaken, or, if applicable, what subjects are to be studied and at what institutions.
