Lead Position. A lead position, when the need occurs, will be selected by the Superintendent of Fremont Public Schools. Lead Position. The decision to designate, eliminate or remove an employee from a Lead position shall be at the sole discretion of the Employer. The Employer shall assign (in writing) a Lead position that shall be paid a premium of five dollars ($5.00) per hour above their base rate including any overtime rates for all hours paid except as stated in Section 15.16. Beginning the first full pay period in January 2023, the premium shall be increased to five dollars and fifty cents ($5.50).   • Filling Positions ‌ The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency. A.   • New Positions The Board, in consultation with the Association, shall prepare a new job description whenever a new position of special responsibility is created or whenever the duties of any such position are changed or increased.
