Leaving the Building Clause Samples
The 'Leaving the Building' clause outlines the procedures and responsibilities that apply when a tenant vacates a leased property. Typically, this clause specifies requirements such as the condition in which the premises must be left, the removal of personal belongings, and the return of keys or access devices. For example, it may require the tenant to clean the space, repair any damage beyond normal wear and tear, and ensure all rent and fees are paid before departure. The core function of this clause is to ensure a smooth transition between tenants and protect the landlord’s property by setting clear expectations for the end of the tenancy.
