The Legitimate Use clause defines the acceptable and intended purposes for which a party may use certain resources, information, or services provided under an agreement. Legitimate Use. 11 a. Protected sick time under the Oregon Sick Time Law (ORS 12 653.601 to .661) is limited to the first forty (40) hours of sick time taken by an employee 13 each calendar year.

29 b. Management may require medical verification of absence 30 due to non-FMLA and non-OFLA covered illness or injury under the following 31 conditions: 2 consecutive work days; or 3
i. the employee has been absent for more than three (3)
ii. the employee has exhausted all sick leave; or
iii. the employee has had five (5) or more events with 5 less than twenty-four (24) hours notice in a six (6) month period; or
