Common use of Library Closing Clause in Contracts

Library Closing. In the event the Library is closed due to weather conditions, building temperature, or any other unscheduled closings, those employees scheduled to work shall be paid for their scheduled hours. In the event Library is closed for the entire day under the provisions of this article, an employee normally scheduled to work, who has taken Personal Leave, Sick Leave, or Vacation Leave on the date of closure, shall not have the Personal Leave, Sick Leave, or Vacation Leave deducted from their current personal leave balance.

Library Closing. In the event the Library is closed due to weather conditions, building temperature, or any other unscheduled closingscircumstances not specified in 20.1 below, those employees scheduled to work shall be paid for their scheduled hours. In the event Library is closed for the entire day under the provisions of this article, an employee normally scheduled to work, who has taken Personal Leave, Sick Leave, or Vacation Leave work on the date of closure, closure shall not have be required to work from home. Any employee, who with the Personal Leave, Sick Leave, knowledge and consent of the Library Director or Vacation Leave deducted his/her designee works from their current personal leave balancehome on a day when the library is closed shall receive compensatory time at the rate of time and one half and for all hours worked or any portion thereof.

In If the event Library is closed due to financial considerations, i.e., lack of funding from the Town, no employees shall be due pay for any period that the entire day under Library is closed. The Director shall have a plan in place to notify employees in the provisions event of this article, an employee normally scheduled a Library closing.
