Lien Search Reports Clause Samples
The 'Lien Search Reports' clause requires one party, typically the seller or borrower, to provide official reports detailing any existing liens, encumbrances, or claims against the property or assets involved in a transaction. These reports are usually obtained from public records or specialized search companies and must be delivered to the other party within a specified timeframe before closing. By mandating the disclosure of all outstanding liens, this clause ensures transparency, helps the buyer or lender assess potential risks, and facilitates a clear transfer of title or interest.
