Light Cartage Allowance Clause Samples

The Light Cartage Allowance clause defines a specific payment or reimbursement provided to cover the costs associated with the transportation of small or lightweight goods. Typically, this allowance applies when employees or contractors are required to move minor items, tools, or materials as part of their work duties, and it compensates for incidental transport expenses that do not warrant full freight charges. The core function of this clause is to ensure that individuals are fairly compensated for minor transport costs, thereby preventing disputes and clarifying the financial responsibilities related to light cartage within the contract.
