Machine Operator. A Machine Operator will operate mechanical equipment including cats, cranes, tractor trailers and trucks. Hole-digging attachments, pole-setting and related equipment on line trucks shall be operated by Power Line Technicians. The Maintenance planner has a Journey level ticket as either an Electrician or a Mechanic, and will be responsible for the work planning in a designated generation area. They will act as a resource for Crew Leads, Managers, etc., in planning the work. The Maintenance Planner develops work plans and procedures for the crews as well as arranges for materials, tools and equipment to be on site before the work is scheduled. They work closely with the crew leaders, Engineers, and managers to determine planning requirements for the work to be done. They ensure that work planned has been reviewed for safety and environmental considerations, crew availability/expertise.
