Management Performing Bargaining Unit Work Clause Samples

The "Management Performing Bargaining Unit Work" clause defines the circumstances under which management personnel are permitted to perform tasks typically assigned to bargaining unit employees. In practice, this clause often restricts managers from doing union-represented work except in specific situations, such as emergencies, training, or when no bargaining unit employees are available. Its core function is to protect bargaining unit jobs by ensuring that management does not routinely bypass union labor, thereby upholding the integrity of the bargaining unit and preventing erosion of union-represented positions.
