Maximum Full-Time Overload. Full-time faculty members’ semester workloads shall not exceed 0.67 above a full load if adjunct faculty members are available to teach additional classes that are offered. A. The College President and/or designee shall determine the assignment for each faculty member to meet students' needs. The right of assignment shall not supersede any other protection guaranteed under this agreement. B. The annual lecture hour equivalent (LHE) load for faculty shall be thirty (30). Faculty assignment adjustments shall be made with mutual agreement between the educational administrator and the faculty member. 1. A faculty member shall not be required to teach overload. 2. For the purposes of calculating load, a full-time faculty SEMESTER load equals 1.0. However, loads falling between .97 and 1.03 (inclusive) will not need adjustment in that semester or any subsequent semester. For the purposes of calculating load, a full-time faculty ANNUAL load equals 2.0. However, loads falling between 1.94 and 2.05 (inclusive) for an academic year will not need adjustment. a. A semester load in excess of 1.03 may be adjusted by a load reduction in any of the subsequent two (2) semesters or by compensation at the overload rate at the discretion of the faculty member.   • Overload A regular employee who works an overload in a given year shall receive no less than either: (a) the pro-rata salary for the overload based on the Provincial Salary Scale or the secondary scale on which the employee is placed or (b) a reduction of workload in a subsequent year that is commensurate with the amount of the overload. The conditions governing overloads are as set out in the regular employee’s local collective agreement, subject to the above provision.

  • Intent to Limit Charges to Maximum Lawful Rate In no event shall the interest rate or rates payable under this Agreement, plus any other amounts paid in connection herewith, exceed the highest rate permissible under any law that a court of competent jurisdiction shall, in a final determination, deem applicable. Borrower and the Lender Group, in executing and delivering this Agreement, intend legally to agree upon the rate or rates of interest and manner of payment stated within it; provided, however, that, anything contained herein to the contrary notwithstanding, if said rate or rates of interest or manner of payment exceeds the maximum allowable under applicable law, then, ipso facto, as of the date of this Agreement, Borrower is and shall be liable only for the payment of such maximum as allowed by law, and payment received from Borrower in excess of such legal maximum, whenever received, shall be applied to reduce the principal balance of the Obligations to the extent of such excess.

  • Full-Time Nurse is a Nurse who is hired to a position on a regular or temporary basis to work the work period described in Article 7.00 of this Agreement.

  • MAXIMUM OUT-OF POCKET EXPENSE means the total amount you pay each plan year for covered healthcare services. We will pay up to 100% of our allowance for the covered healthcare service for the rest of the plan year once you have met the maximum out-of-pocket expense.   • Full-Time Only During the year of the leave, seniority shall continue to accumulate. Service for the purposes of vacation and salary progression and other benefits will be retained but will not accumulate during the period of the leave.
