METHOD OF BILLING AND PAYMENT. (a) For lump sum contracts, the Consultant may submit bills to the County at the completion and approval of each task or at the partial completion of a task on a pro-rata basis. However, requests for payment shall not be made more frequently than once a month. The Consultant shall submit such monthly statements identifying the nature of the work performed. Calculations shall be made monthly of the amount and value of the work accomplished and services performed by the Consultant which meet the standards of quality established under this Agreement. The estimates shall be prepared by the Consultant and accompanied by such supporting data as required by the Contract Administrator. (b) The County agrees that it shall pay the Consultant within forty five (45) business days of receipt of the Consultant’s statement provided that the invoice is correct and is consistent with the terms of this Agreement. (c) Payments under this Agreement and interest on any late payments shall be governed by the Florida Prompt Payment Act, §§ 218.70, et seq., as amended.
