Mobile Networks. The UWS 5G Mobile Networks team, led by ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇. Alcaraz-Calero and Professor ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, is part of the Artificial Intelligence, Visual Communication and Networks (AVCN) centre. This team is at the forefront of the next generation of super-fast mobile streaming. The success and impact of the team is evidenced in the more than 80 research projects at national, European or international levels which they have been involved in. UWS has been leading a consortium as Technical Manager of the 5G-PPP Phase I SELFNET ( 8m) dealing with self-management capabilities for 5G networks to address a range of complex technical challenges in network management, cloud computing, 5G infrastructures and Mobile Edge Computing. We recognize the strategic importance of the team’s work for the University’s research roadmap and in addressing global societal challenges. Accordingly, UWS has already invested £160k over the past three years to build a large-scale data centre with unique capabilities in terms of 5G services, security, softwarization and programmability. The data centre is now fully operational and has allowed the team to continue the success on the leadership of the implementation of 5G in Europe by using its unique capabilities to secure a follow-on 5G-PPP Phase II SliceNet ( 8m) project, also acting as a Technical manager of such consortium composed by large industries such as DellEMC Ireland, Orange France, Orange Romania, Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE) Greece and Altice Labs Portugal, among other key European players. Three research assistants have been hired as a result of the follow-up. The team has been supported through the Vice-Principal’s Fund for the expansion of the 5G Video Lab. The data centre has been designed to accommodate not only cloud architectures but also mobile edge computing and 5G architectures combined with key hardware-acceleration capabilities to allow research on the acceleration of the novel 5G network communications. Research is shifting from cloud architectures to its natural evolution which is sometimes referred to as “Fog Computing” or “Mobile Edge Computing” and this support has enabled the team to cement our position at the forefront of networks research. Mobile Networks. We operate both fixed and mobile telecommunications networks. Our mobile networks are based on the 3PP family of standards. We have both GSM and UMTS/HSPA networks, which are the most commonly adopted networks for mobile telecommunications systems worldwide. GSM/GPRS/EDGE are often referred as 2G (second generation) technologies and they are able to support voice, value-added services, lower bandwidth data services and GSM systems allow enhanced roaming capability virtually worldwide. 3G networks support bandwidth-intensive data applications such as full motion video, video conferencing and full internet access to mobile devices. 3G network speeds are increasing dramatically as the network technology evolves. Through the use of HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) and HSPA+ technology, data speeds on 3G networks can reach speeds substantially faster than in 2G networks, depending on the capabilities of the devices and the network. 3G technologies have enabled us to offer our users a wide range of advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency. 3G further enables us to offer new services to our users such as video calls, mobile broadband data, and an improved internet experience with richer mobile content. We have nationwide usufruct rights which allow us to operate our 2G and 3G networks in the 850 MHz, 900 MHz and 2600 MHz spectrum bands in which we hold a total bandwidth of 48 MHz, 12 MHz and 25 MHz, respectively. New regulations came into effect in Guatemala in December 2012 that granted telecommunications operators the right to apply for automatic 20-year extensions of their existing rights. We successfully applied to extend our usufruct rights through December 2032 and December 2033, depending on expiration date of the original usufruct right. Our mobile network architecture includes 13 2G mobile switching centers (MSC & MSSERV), 4 3G/▇▇▇▇ (MSOFT & ATCAs) and 2 Tandems (MSOFT) geographically distributed to secure traffic balance and service availability to serve over 3,563 2G and 2,855 3G cellular base stations. We estimate that our 2G coverage footprint covers over 87.4% and our 3G footprint covers 60% of the Guatemalan population.

  • Network Services Preventive care: 100% coverage. Preventive services include, but are not restricted to routine physical exams, routine gynecological exams, routine hearing exams, routine eye exams, and immunizations. A $100 single and $200 family combined annual deductible will apply to lab/diagnostic testing after which 100% coverage will apply. A $50 copay will apply to CT and MRI scans.

  • Online Services Microsoft warrants that each Online Service will perform in accordance with the applicable SLA during Customer’s use. Customer’s remedies for breach of this warranty are described in the SLA.

  • Use of Verizon Telecommunications Services 2.1 Verizon Telecommunications Services may be purchased by PNG under this Resale Attachment only for the purpose of resale by PNG as a Telecommunications Carrier. Verizon Telecommunications Services to be purchased by PNG for other purposes (including, but not limited to, PNG’s own use) must be purchased by PNG pursuant to other applicable Attachments to this Agreement (if any), or separate written agreements, including, but not limited to, applicable Verizon Tariffs. 2.2 PNG shall not resell: 2.2.1 Residential service to persons not eligible to subscribe to such service from Verizon (including, but not limited to, business or other nonresidential Customers); 2.2.2 Lifeline, Link Up America, or other means-tested service offerings, to persons not eligible to subscribe to such service offerings from Verizon; 2.2.3 Grandfathered or discontinued service offerings to persons not eligible to subscribe to such service offerings from Verizon; or 2.2.4 Any other Verizon service in violation of a restriction stated in this Agreement (including, but not limited to, a Verizon Tariff) that is not prohibited by Applicable Law. 2.2.5 In addition to any other actions taken by PNG to comply with this Section 2.2, PNG shall take those actions required by Applicable Law to determine the eligibility of PNG Customers to purchase a service, including, but not limited to, obtaining any proof or certification of eligibility to purchase Lifeline, Link Up America, or other means-tested services, required by Applicable Law. PNG shall indemnify Verizon from any Claims resulting from PNG’s failure to take such actions required by Applicable Law. 2.2.6 Verizon may perform audits to confirm PNG’s conformity to the provisions of this Section 2.2. Such audits may be performed twice per calendar year and shall be performed in accordance with Section 7 of the General Terms and Conditions. 2.3 PNG shall be subject to the same limitations that Verizon’s Customers are subject to with respect to any Telecommunications Service that Verizon grandfathers or discontinues offering. Without limiting the foregoing, except to the extent that Verizon follows a different practice for Verizon Customers in regard to a grandfathered Telecommunications Service, such grandfathered Telecommunications Service: (a) shall be available only to a Customer that already has such Telecommunications Service; (b) may not be moved to a new service location; and (c) will be furnished only to the extent that facilities continue to be available to provide such Telecommunications Service. 2.4 PNG shall not be eligible to participate in any Verizon plan or program under which Verizon Customers may obtain products or services, which are not Verizon Telecommunications Services, in return for trying, agreeing to purchase, purchasing, or using Verizon Telecommunications Services. 2.5 In accordance with 47 CFR § 51.617(b), Verizon shall be entitled to all charges for Verizon Exchange Access services used by interexchange carriers to provide service to PNG Customers.

  • PSN or Public Services Network The Public Services Network (PSN) is the government’s high performance network which helps public sector organisations work together, reduce duplication and share resources. Regulatory body or bodies Government departments and other bodies which, whether under statute, codes of practice or otherwise, are entitled to investigate or influence the matters dealt with in this Call-Off Contract. Relevant person Any employee, agent, servant, or representative of the Buyer, any other public body or person employed by or on behalf of the Buyer, or any other public body. Relevant Transfer A transfer of employment to which the employment regulations applies. Replacement Services Any services which are the same as or substantially similar to any of the Services and which the Buyer receives in substitution for any of the services after the expiry or Ending or partial Ending of the Call- Off Contract, whether those services are provided by the Buyer or a third party. Replacement supplier Any third-party service provider of replacement services appointed by the Buyer (or where the Buyer is providing replacement Services for its own account, the Buyer). Security management plan The Supplier's security management plan developed by the Supplier in accordance with clause 16.

  • Network PHARMACY is a retail, mail order or specialty pharmacy that has a contract to accept our pharmacy allowance for prescription drugs and diabetic equipment or supplies covered under this plan. NETWORK PROVIDER is a provider that has entered into a contract with us or other Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans. For pediatric dental care services, network provider is a dentist that has entered into a contract with us or participates in the Dental Coast to Coast Network. For pediatric vision hardware services, a network provider is a provider that has entered into a contract with EyeMed, our vision care service manager.
