The "Month Employee" clause defines the employment status or terms for an employee who is engaged on a monthly basis. Typically, this clause outlines that the employee's compensation, benefits, and obligations are calculated and administered according to a monthly schedule, rather than weekly or hourly. For example, salary payments, leave accrual, and notice periods may all be structured around a calendar month. The core function of this clause is to establish clear expectations regarding the employment period and related entitlements, ensuring both parties understand the monthly framework governing the employment relationship.
Month Employee. Any 6 month Park Ranger (I or II, effective April 1, 1999) who is required to transfer on April 1st of any year and who is transferred to other than the employee’s first choice park shall not have been considered to have made a voluntary transfer for purposes of the 6 month transfer restriction.
Month Employee. Less than twelve (12) month employees will be assigned full calendar months based on the needs of the District. The calendar months will be established upon employment and annually prior to the new fiscal year. The calendar months worked may be changed by mutual agreement between the supervisor and employee and approved by the CHRO with a notification sent to the CSEA Chapter President. Less than twelve (12) month employees will not be allowed to work partial months or spread out workdays beyond the number of calendar months employed. Less than twelve (12) month employees will be provided first consideration for temporary work outside the employee’s classification during non-working months. Requests shall be provided to the CHRO and approved prior to the commencement of temporary work. Supervisors who initiate the temporary employment during non-service months shall obtain mutual agreement from the employee that such assignment is voluntary. Employees wishing to change their shift when a vacancy occurs within the same classification and job title shall submit the request in writing. Seniority and satisfactory evaluations will be utilized in the event two or more employees request the same shift change, except when a bona fide occupational qualification exists (i.e., a female Custodian required for the women’s locker room).

Month Employee. A ten- (10) month employee is an employee who works while school is in session.
Month Employee. 39 All full-time 12-month employees shall be credited with days of vacation credit based on hours worked 40 during the calendar year September 1 to August 31. Month Employee. A weeks’ vacation pay for any employee shall be equivalent to the employee’s regular weekly earnings. The vacation pay for any ten (10) month employee shall be paid out over the Christmas and Mid-winter breaks in such a manner as to minimize the reduction in an employee’s pay during these periods. Such vacation pay will be paid based upon an employee’s annual vacation entitlement. It is to be understood that any adjustments shall be made in the final pay in the following June or at the time of termination, whichever occurs first.

Month Employee. Employees shall accumulate vacation for each month that they are in active payroll status. Each employee has available to her/him on July 1st of each year that vacation (and only that vacation) which they have earned since the previous July 1. They then have a year within which to take this vacation; however, vacation cannot be taken on days school is in session.
Month Employee. The words "temporary twenty – four (24)-month employee" when used in this Agreement shall mean any temporary employee who is filling a temporary job within the jurisdiction of this Union for up to twenty –four (24) months. Employees within this status will be eligible for Essentials level benefit coverage (health and dental), basic life coverage and sick leave pay on an annual basis as per the terms outlined in this Agreement.
Month Employee. As of the end of each fiscal year, the employee will be reimbursed for 6 days of unused sick leave per year. To qualify for reimbursement, the employee’s accrued basic leave must be at least 520 hours as of April 30. The employee’s sick leave bank may not drop below 520 hours after the reimbursement. The reimbursement will be paid directly to the employee before July 1. For the purposes of this Section, the daily compensation rate shall be calculated by dividing the employee’s annual salary by 229.
