Common use of New Classifications Clause in Contracts

New Classifications. In the event that an employee performs work covered by the Certificate of Bargaining Authority and/or this Agreement and there is no previously established classification or wage rate covering the work performed, the Union and the Employer shall immediately negotiate a classification and wage rate. Failing agreement by the parties, the matter shall be referred to a Board of Arbitration as provided for in this Agreement, who shall have the power to establish such classification and rate.
