Next of Kin Sample Clauses
The Next of Kin clause identifies the individual(s) who are legally recognized as the closest living relatives of a person, typically for purposes of notification, inheritance, or decision-making in the event of incapacity or death. In practice, this clause may specify the order of priority among family members, such as spouse, children, or parents, and can be used to determine who should be contacted or who has authority in medical or legal matters. Its core function is to ensure clarity and avoid disputes by formally designating who is considered next of kin under the agreement or applicable law.
