Common use of Notification of Union Clause in Contracts

Notification of Union. When the University creates any new position during the term of this Agreement, except those positions included in another Union's certification, or instructional administrators to whom faculty report, the Union shall be notified immediately and, at the request of either party, the parties will meet to discuss whether or not the position is covered by the Union’s certification. In the event of disagreement, the Labour Relations Board will be asked to decide the issue, if referred by either party.
