Notification of Union. 1. The District shall consult with the Union not less than ten (10) days prior to notices being mailed with respect to layoffs. At that time, the Union shall be informed of the number and types of position(s) recommended for reduction and the reason for their reduction. 2. The Union shall have the right to make proposals on the effects of layoffs and/or reduction in hours.
