OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING. The objectives of the MOU will be implemented and regulated in the following manner: 1) Medical students may enroll in theoretical and practical courses in the department and school of their choice. The length of this exchange will be agreed upon on an individual basis regarding every student and should be at least one month. 2) Nominations, including a statement of students’ academic records to date and the application forms required by each institution shall be exchanged via the appropriate offices at BIU and IHSM. Every' institution decides on the acceptability of the students nominated. 3) The exchange students will have the same rights and obligations as degree seeking students at the host organization, and they will follow the norms and regulations of the host organization. 4) The exchange students will remain enrolled in a full time capacity at their home organization throughout their exchange, and will pay their home organization the required academic and living expense fees. BIU students will pay tuition and room & board - fees and any other required fees to BIU. Students or medical staff from the IHSM will pay tuition and all other required fees to the BIU. All students will pay remaining academic and/or living expenses to their host organization. 5) The host organization will give assistance to the student in securing housing and will offer personal and academic support prior to and during the time of the exchange 6) Regarding the exchange of faculty members and researchers, the following conditions will apply: The faculty members and researchers will maintain their status as faculty members at their home institution for the duration of the exchange. The appropriate departments and administrative offices will assist in securing housing and other necessary' arrangements for providing education and research activities in the host organization Exchanging faculty' members and researchers should strengthen the ties between both institutions.
