ON-CALL DIFFERENTIAL Sample Clauses

The ON-CALL DIFFERENTIAL clause establishes additional compensation for employees who are required to be available to work outside of their regular scheduled hours. Typically, this clause specifies the rate or percentage increase in pay that applies when an employee is on call, and may outline the conditions under which the differential is earned, such as being reachable by phone or responding within a certain timeframe. Its core practical function is to fairly compensate employees for the inconvenience and potential disruption of being on call, thereby incentivizing availability and clarifying pay expectations.
