Shift Differential Pay Sample Clauses

The Shift Differential Pay clause establishes additional compensation for employees who work less desirable shifts, such as evenings, nights, or weekends. Typically, this clause specifies the percentage or flat rate added to the base pay for hours worked during these designated periods, and may outline eligibility criteria or affected job classifications. Its core function is to incentivize employees to cover shifts outside of standard working hours and to fairly compensate them for the inconvenience or increased difficulty associated with such schedules.
