OTHER ENGINEERING SERVICES Clause Samples

The "Other Engineering Services" clause defines the scope and terms under which additional engineering services, beyond those specifically listed in the main agreement, may be provided. This clause typically covers services such as specialized studies, site investigations, or technical consultations that arise during a project but were not anticipated at the outset. It outlines how these services are requested, approved, and compensated, often requiring written authorization and agreement on fees before work begins. The core function of this clause is to provide a clear process for handling unforeseen engineering needs, ensuring both parties understand how extra work will be managed and paid for, thereby preventing disputes over scope and compensation.
