OVERTIME AND WORK WEEK. A. The regular work week shall consist of 40 hours a week. B. Time and one-half will be paid to all Employees of the bargaining unit for actual hours worked in excess of 40 hours during any one week period. For purposes of this section, the phrase “actual hours worked” shall be consistent with the definition of hours worked pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act and include vacation days and holidays. C. Rotative procedure shall be used for overtime assignments. D. Leave days shall be granted based upon the needs of the Department. E. Shift assignments will be made based upon the needs of the Department.
